Constitutional Rights Violation Case

Summary

A 16-year-old assault case was reclassified as domestic violence, leading to gun rights revocation without notification. The reclassification was not communicated, and the appeal process failed. The Nebraska State Patrol added the individual to the NICS, citing domestic violence criteria. The original case did not involve domestic violence charges in court. Legal advice is recommended to address potential constitutional rights violations.

Hi David! How can I assist you with your legal issue today?
I can upload the case documents in question
Hey David! Unfortunately, I'm unable to view uploaded documents. However, you can describe your legal issue to me, and I'll do my best to provide you with relevant information. What type of legal issue are you dealing with?
constitutional rights violations. My 2nd, 5th, and 14th amendment rights
Hey David! Could you provide more details on how your 2nd, 5th, and 14th amendment rights were violated? This will help me give you more specific information.
I had a case 16 years ago that was prosecuted as a 3rd degree assault that they have now gone back in the last 17 months and reclassified as 3rd degree domestic assault. Resulting in the revocation of my gun rights without even notifying me. I found out because I bought a gun in * legally fine, and all the way from case THROUGH * purchased legally, and in February tried to buy a gun and was denied.

This seems like a significant legal issue regarding your constitutional rights. Would you like to be connected to local lawyers who can better assist you with your case?
If yes, can you provide a bit more information about the reclassification of your case and the revocation of your gun rights?
Yes, I would. I was not notified of reclassification. When I was denied, I appealed. When the appeal failed and they referenced this case I reopened the appeal, I was denied again and notified that the Nebraska State Patrol had added me to the NICS sometime between November * and February * because my charge "meets the requirements for 3rd degree domestic violence". 16 years later? And when the judge didn't deem it domestic, they didn't even bring up the fact that he was my wife's son IN COURT. There were charges that were dropped as I said that were never tried yet they were referenced. However, those dropped charges were referencing my wife, they were erroneous and they were dropped completely. The victim of the charge they are connecting to domestic is her adult son.
