Hello Sherri Gillis! How can I assist you today with your legal issue?
I was taking care of a friend thats very sick. I would stay at him and his sons hpuse on and off while i was his caretaker. On March 10th their house got raided. The kossuth county cops had a search warrant. I just finally got to see the warrant on this last Thursday. I called the clerk of courts to ask them to email me a copy of the warrant and she told me that neither one of my cases had a search warrant connected to them. And then i asked the guys whose house the raid was at for the search and they let me take pictures. Ive been told that if your name is "not" on the warrant that they have no right to search you or your property. I need to know if this is true please. I have court today for the CI information and my lawyer wants me to sign a plea. Can i get out of these charges?
I'm not a lawyer, but I can try to help you. Just to clarify, are you asking if the police can search you or your property if your name is not on the search warrant?
