i got pulled over in kentucky for a DUI and wanton endangerment but i was a minor. they didn’t press the charges as they are being held. i had gotten kicked out of my friends house that i was at and didn’t remember even getting in the car. i refused a breathalyzer and didn’t take a blood test.i was not speeding nor came to a collision. even though they did not press the charges they have given my mom the authority to contact them and have the charges pressed if I do not follow or abide by the rules my mom wants me to join the military however, I want to go to college. This would mean that I would have to get the charges press in order to go to college and I’m curious to what that would entail this was in Kentucky
Hello Mia,
In Kentucky, if the charges are pressed:
*. DUI: Penalties depend on the number of offenses. For the first, you could face a fine, license suspension, and alcohol education program.
*. Wanton Endangerment: This is a felony, carrying a potential prison sentence and fines.
Court proceedings could impact college applications. Consult a lawyer for advice.
