Its a prior case that was settled with a plea deal back in *. the the woman who killed my brother plead guilty to manslaughter in the second and was sentenced to 15 years. she has recently been approved for a grant in state of NY called DVSJA. The District Attorney doesnt believe it applies to her because my brother the victim is not the cause of her abuse and doesnt think the judge will grant her an early release. my issue is the new claims of what she is saying happened that night without no proof there is zero evidence of the things she is saying my brother did. and not just him but other men she was in prior relationships with. these things are being printed in papers and online. how is any of that legal its slander and a defamation of character and he isnt here to defend himself. is there any type of action i can take?
