I respectfully submit this formal complaint against Attorney Kathleen DeLacy, Partner at Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, for serious and sustained misconduct in connection with the estate of my late uncle, Veteran Alvin David Smith. The enclosed affidavit and supporting exhibits document a pattern of unethical behavior, including misrepresentation of legal authority, conflict of interest, submission of fraudulent documents, and collusion with judicial officers.
Attorney DeLacy’s engagement with her client, James E. Furlow Jr., was contingent upon the sale of heir property—despite the estate being non-probatable and the property having passed directly to the heirs upon the decedent’s death. Her actions, taken without consent from the heirs and in violation of a final court order, reflect a clear breach of fiduciary duty and a motive for self-enrichment through fraud.

- File a formal complaint with the Delaware Office of Disciplinary Counsel against the attorney.
