My mother passed away in * everything went to my father my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in * my sister came across his will and it wasn't done so she took it upon herself and redid it leaving her with everything and only leaving me a $*,* special needs son as a probate lady was done she left me with $*,* special needs fund. I received a phone call from my brother stating I needed to go to Edward Jones and sign some documents so that we could close the case I went with him and my sister was there the lady there never explained to me what I was signing or anything I have a learning disability so when it comes to things like this people have to explain and tell me exactly what I am doing. I hate to tell people that but that is my condition a week later I received a letter in the mail from Edward Jones address to **** Halterman b e n f of Robert James Petry I believe b e n f stands for beneficiary I noticed that $*,* was taken out and another $*,* was taken then I noticed the money was put back in. I was told by my siblings if I was to contestants will I would not get nothing I have a copy of my mother's will even know it's not finished but it states that everything is to be split among Us children so when I read my father's will everything was changed and I thought that was kind of weird my sister received everything she got the house a brand new car and everything you name it she got it my brother was a trustee of the will and he didn't want nothing due to his back child support so I believe if he was to get anything he would get it for my sister without them knowing it so it wouldn't have to go to his back child support even though he pays his monthly child support. When the probate lady came across the will she noticed that I was the beneficiary that will so they had to figure out how to get me to sign my rights away and they sure did I never got copies of what I signed and was never told what I was signing I was just threatened numerous times. I was diagnosed with murder neuron disease along with a mild aorta gravitation which now is bleeding more than it was 2 years ago because of all the stress that my siblings have put me through I go next month I'm not sure when they will do open heart surgery but I assume it will be within the year. I would like to go after them for putting me through all this chaos in this stress and everything and try to get more money besides the $*,* that they stole for me and in the will it doesn't State anything about Edward Jones no one knew nothing about it I don't know if it's too late to fight against it but I know that I read somewhere that I can revoke the will I don't know if that's true are not and if it is true I would like to go that way. I never expected my siblings to screw me out of something I know that my mother made a statement to my brother please make sure that your sister is well taken care of because of what she's going through and please make sure she is stress-free and he promised her that he would do that instead he hasn't he basically has disowned me and so has my sister my sister has caused a lot of problems between me and my own daughter I have a granddaughter that I have never met because of my sister and my brother. All I'm doing is looking forward to going after what is mine I don't have money I am fighting for my social security disability I did have a friend who paid a lawyer just to look over to make sure that I was the beneficiary and he said I was and he was going to take on the case but it was too much money for me to ask my friends mom to pay for it I'm not sure if I could even fight it on my own with my learning disability thank you for taking the time and reading this and if you do not do pro bono if there is anybody you can refer me to cuz I believe I don't have much time to fight against these guys because my sister is talking about selling the house and the house is supposed to be in the Petry's estate I'm not sure exactly what that means.

I don't know if there's a time limit to fight against this and if there is what is the time limit I can't believe I let them trick me into signing my name over to them to take the money away from me
I understand your concern, ****. To determine the time limit for contesting a will or taking legal action, it would be best to consult with an attorney specializing in estate planning and probate law. They can provide you with specific information based on the laws in your state.
That would be great if you could provide me some information on what I need to do like I said in the will it never said anything about Edward Jones and when they found out that I was the probate they had to put the money back and get me down there to sign away my rights and that's what they did I don't know exactly what they did with the $*,* but I know my sister took a lot of trips and as far as I know my dad was not in debt he was always a debt-free man it just irritates me that they treated me like this knowing the situation I'm in and if I have a chance of getting my money back I sure would like to have it back I don't even have a car to get around and it's hard for me to get around on a bus cuz I can barely walk as it is I'm constantly having to stop and rest and it seems to take me forever to get where I need to go. I would have thought this a while back but I was so scared of what those two would do to me since that's all they kept doing was threatening me when will you be able to let me know what my situation is and when I can start working on it like I said I'm just barely making ends meet. There is one thing when I noticed the money was missing out of Edward Jones I did phone them and ask them about the money in the lady there said it was a mistake I said that's a very bad mistake to lose that amount of money do I have any rights to go down there to ask them for the copy of what I signed and initialed since I was the beneficiary that account and second of all is there any pro bono lawyer that will take my case on I get so confused and frustrated about things like this I do have my father's will and it basically States in it all about me and it says to that if my brother could not handle being the trustee it would be sent to my sister as a trustee and as far as her being the trustee she would still everything he would keep it all to herself do you know any lawyer who will do a pro bono to help me out if so I would really appreciate it thank you one more thing do you do pro bono are you willing to assist me in this matter are you wanting me to look somewhere else for help if so I don't have a problem doing that I just have to make sure that I'm looking in the right direction sometimes I have a hard time understanding situations like this and when it comes to things like this by learning disability gets me very frustrated and very aggravated because I don't understand majority of it I just want to do the right thing and I don't want to screw up and I don't want to have to pay those jerks back anything when they don't deserve nothing I did look under the local legal aid organization of bar association for referral I live in Shoreline Washington in my father lived in Everett Washington so which local legal organization should I be looking into Shoreline or Everett Washington or maybe you can take on this case for me if not I understand
Can you provide me with the exact date when you signed the documents at Edward Jones? This will help determine the statute of limitations for your case.
When I received the document from Edward Jones February 2nd * $*,* was taken out and another $*,* was taken out on February 4th * the money was put in back I went and signed the documents on February 10th * she told me that she was I must stay and that she wasn't allowed to talk to me about it but I looked a little closer and realized that the account number on the paperwork is the same account number that my name is on it that states b e n f I believe that stands for beneficiary lied to me and wouldn't tell me anything else I have all the documents of Edward Jones that they had sent me I have my mom's will that was never finished and I do have my father's will but at the very beginning of it they would not let me see the will of my father's because they didn't want me to see what was going on Plus at the end of the paperwork it states who inherits what anything special is missing off of my father's will I know and that my mom had already told me some stuff that she wanted me to have I know it doesn't count on her will because she never filed it and as far as my father's will that signature does not even look like my father's signature it looks like my sister my dad is a left-hander and my sister is a right-hander now even though he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's I believe that someone else should have been overlooking his will from his first will instead of a family member I had a gut feeling that someone was going to pull some strings and take what they wanted
In Washington, you generally have 4 months to contest a will from the date it's admitted to probate. However, exceptions may apply. Consult a probate attorney for precise advice. Nearest court: Snohomish County Superior Court, Everett, WA. Contact: (*) *-*.
