im dealing with an ongoing matter in the childrens court of parramatta nsw in regards to the care order of my two sons, a lawyer has been appointed to me by either dcj or the courts im not sure. i want to contest the care order and seek that my children to be returned to my care immediately on the grounds of lack of evidence, procedural flaw in the avo not being served to me by police and the minimal necessity in tho avo, i know im to file an application to contest the order and i definitely will be seeking a legal representative, my current lawyer has not been helpful and i believe that she is siding against me she is a private lawyer paid for with a legal aid grant, my quiestion is can i transfer my legal aid grant to another lawyer and if i do how do i find a lawyer that will actually help me or is my legal aid grant now used and will i have to pay out of my own pocket?

what will the process be if i choose to contest the order as theres already the matter in court will it become a new matter with a new lawyer or do i request wiht legal aid for a transfer of lawyers and said lawyer deals with both matters or does it all fall under the one matter ?

its been four months since the night of these events related to the matter occured so theres been an extensive amount of files handed in by dcj it feels like going against a whole company who sepecialise in this field is extremely difficult.. in saying that, in our previous conversation you told me i have a potentionally very strong case in contesting the avo order and the care order of my children and iam confident that my children were taken from me wrongfully... i guess my question here is can you re assure me that im doing the right thing if i do file to contest the order, do you think i stand a chance going against the police and dcj ?
