Green Card Application Guidance

Summary

You can file I-485 concurrently with I-130 unless the visa bulletin suggests otherwise. Both Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing charts are important; the former indicates when a visa becomes available, while the latter shows when you can submit I-485. You can file I-765 and I-131 with I-485. I-765 and I-131 can be processed even if there is a green card backlog.

Hello ****, I understand your concern. To better assist you, may I know your specific questions regarding the I-* application? It's also helpful to know the state you currently reside in, as immigration laws can vary by location.
New York
Hello ****, thanks for the details. Based on your location and situation, here are some general points regarding the I-* application:
- I-* is an application to adjust your status to a permanent resident.
- You can only apply when a visa number is immediately available.
- Visa availability is based on your priority date, visa category, and your country of chargeability.
Please, what are your specific questions?
*) Do I have to wait until my I-* is approved before I submit my I-*? *)  Which chart should I be referencing on the USCIS bulletin to know when to file my I-*, the final action date or the dates for filing?  For the Feb * bulletin the FINAL ACTION DATE has a priority date of Feb *, * and the DATES FOR FILING has a priority date of September *, *.  Please advise on which chart I should be referring to for resubmittal of my I-* *)  Do I have to wait to submit my work authorization (I-*) and travel authorization (I-*) at the same time as my I-* or is there a way to apply for these prior to submitting the I-*?   *)  If I do have to wait to submit my I-* and I-*, are they reviewed and processed even if there is a backlog in green cards?  Ie.  Might not be a green card available but still able to work and travel.
