I was served with an eviction notice for non payment of rent and given a court date. By the time the court date comes, I will technically owe another month of rent additional to the amount listed in the eviction notice. Currently receiving unemployment benefits which is a lot less than what I used to bring home for income so I fell behind and have been trying to catch up

The person who served me with the court order informed me that I was only to contact my landlords lawyer and not my landlord directly due to the eviction

Yes I spoke to his lawyer today and he said I could pay rent owed to stop the eviction but informed me i would not be given another chance to stop eviction by paying late rent and since October will be late that is when I became worried
