i had a spinal tap done last year to see if i had pressure on my brain. I went to the doctors office with my boyfriend who came int he room. The procedure was done with me sitting up bending forward instead of laying down like it should have been, but i am over weight and i could not lay down. the doctor put the needle in my back forsure * times, but boyfriend said it could have been more, he was watching and then had to look awahy and then was watching. Once he put the needle in my back, he would hit the bone each time. he would move it out a little and then adjust it to another area, and it would hit the bone. after about * min, i said enough. He did not get blood in the needle. He put the needle in my L3-L4. I am wondering if that should have been done, becuase i have major issues in my L3-L4. my mri says plus several others L3-L4: Broad-based disc bulge and facet arthropathy. Moderate to severe canal stenosis. Moderate left and mild right neural foraminal narrowing.
