Storage Facility Tenant Rights
Full Conversation
My storage facility is breaking tenant code can i tell them myself they're breaking the law or do i need a lawyer
Hello Tasha, you have the right to inform them about the violation yourself. However, if they don't respond positively, consider legal advice. Also, documentation is key. Laws vary by location, so it would help if I knew where this is happening.

In Texas, specific laws govern tenant and landlord relationships:
- Texas Property Code Title *, Chapter * outlines that storage facility operators must provide a safe environment.
- They're also prohibited from overcharging or imposing unfair fees (Title *, Chapter *.*).
If the storage facility fails to comply, you can inform them, but a lawyer can ensure your rights are protected.

Texas Property code *.* to my understanding says that a tenant has the right to pay the balance to get there property back as long as its still in the possesion of the storage facility. Am i understanding that correctly?
Yes, Tasha, your understanding of Texas Property Code *.* is correct. A tenant has the right to redeem their property by paying the outstanding balance, as long as the property remains with the storage facility.
