Hello ****. In Pennsylvania, storage facilities should provide a lien notice before selling your items. They must notify you via mail and publish the sale in a newspaper. If this was not followed, you may have a legal case.
They supposedly sent something in the mail. I never got anything but they also sent it to our old address we no longer reside at and it was returned to them or atleast should have been returned to sender. I know we never got it. Literally everything we owned was in those * units. Family things like pics of my deceased father things that cant be replaced thousands upon thousands of dollars gone never to be seen again. Our lives all gone
I'm truly sorry to hear about your situation, ****. If the storage company did not follow the correct procedures, you might have a case. I recommend seeking legal advice. In Pennsylvania:
- The storage company must send notice before selling the items.
- The notice must be sent to your last known address.
- The sale must be advertised in a local newspaper.
Please consult with a local attorney for advice tailored to your situation.
Thanks
