A lady died in January * the father gave me her car. I have not been able to get a tag/title for the vehicle because I was told from the tax collectors office I need more information papers from the father's

I have tried numerous times trying to get the father and hes not responding. I need help maybe if a lawyer contacts him by a letter he might di what he needs to do so I can get a tag/ title. no, sense he has not answered me yet I thought hes not going to answer a letter from me. Thats why I thought if it came from an attorney then he really would need to answer it hopefully do something, give me my papers I need
