I had an interview almost a month ago and she was making it seem like I had the job.I called the next day and was told she would call me and let me know everything as far as training and opening.I call her back * weeks later since I knew training was starting soon and was told another person would be calling. So I reach out to the other person about a week later and he stated he has to speak with the lady I had already spoke to.They aren’t saying if I’m hired or not I’m just getting the run around.I’m starting to think they found out I took legal action against my former employer. If that’s the case what can I do?
Do you have any evidence that they are not hiring you due to your previous legal action? This could potentially be a case of employment discrimination.
All I have is the phone history of me calling them.I know their still hiring because I seen online. There couldn’t be no other reason for them not hiring me.I was at my last job for almost 9 years and I had * really good reference letters.
Did you disclose your previous legal action during the interview or application process? It's important to know if they could have learned about it from you directly.
No not at all.
Did you notice any change in their behavior or communication after they could have potentially found out about your legal action?
The interview went really well.I’ve reached out to them about *-* times. The last person I spoke to last Saturday said he would call me on Monday and I still haven’t heard from them.I mean any other job would let you know if your hired or not instead of keep letting you call trying to find out.
Did you receive any written communication from them regarding your job application status?
I haven’t received anything.My interview was July 6th and I’ve called them July 7th,July 21st and July 29th.
Did you document your conversations with them, including dates, times, and what was discussed? This could be useful if you decide to pursue a legal action.
I have my call history.I mean if they would’ve just told me I wasn’t hired then it would’ve been fine but each time I’ve called nobody is telling me anything.Training started * weeks before opening which would’ve been the week of the 16th.They just opened on August 2nd.
Did you apply through a job portal or directly? If through a portal, it might have a record of your application status.
I applied thru indeed, thru their website and they had me fill out another application at my interview.
Did you receive any formal communication or feedback after your interview?
Only when I called them. When I called on the 7th I was told that she would be callomf
Did you receive any written job offer or any form of written communication indicating you were selected for the position?
No not at all that’s why I called to find out and I was told that I would be receiving a call letting me know what’s going on.
Did you ever receive any negative feedback or reasons why they might not hire you during or after the interview?
Nothing at all. Each time I called I was told I would recieve a call back.
Did you ever discuss your previous legal action with any of your references that they might have contacted?
No not all.
Did you ever receive any communication from them after your interview, either written or verbal, that indicated they were aware of your previous legal action?
