I sent this is to my hr 3 months ago and they still havent responded I am asking for accommodations due to my disabilities. I am also wanting to address the issue of being asked to clean my office constantly. I want to communicate that I am feeling targeted due to repeated reminders about cleaning my workspace. I am committed to meeting expectations, but the frequency and tone of the reminders are affecting my comfort at work. I would appreciate a more constructive and supportive approach, ideally through the formal accommodation process. My doctor will be sending the other paperwork here shortly.
****, under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), your employer must engage in an "interactive process" regarding accommodation requests. Since HR hasn't responded in 3 months, consider:
- Sending a follow-up email documenting your initial request and asking for an update.
- Filing a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) if no response occurs.
Would you like guidance on how to file a complaint?
do i have a case to sue since they wrote my up due to being messy due to my disability
****, under the ADA, disciplining an employee for behavior linked to a disability may be discriminatory if reasonable accommodations were not provided. If your write-up is linked to your disability and no accommodations were made, you might have a case.
Would you like guidance on filing an EEOC complaint?

****, under the ADA, employers must provide reasonable accommodations for known disabilities. Writing you up for behavior linked to ADHD without accommodating your needs could be discriminatory. Filing an EEOC complaint is a step to address this. Would you like assistance on how to proceed with filing the complaint?
why is it
****, it seems you're asking "why" regarding the situation. If you're referring to why your employer acted this way, it could be due to a lack of understanding of ADHD or neglecting ADA requirements. Employers must engage in the accommodation process. Would you like help drafting a follow-up to HR or filing a complaint?
why is it discriminatory
****, it may be discriminatory because under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employers cannot penalize employees for behaviors directly linked to their disabilities if reasonable accommodations were not provided. Writing you up for challenges linked to ADHD without accommodations could violate these protections. Would you like guidance on next steps?
yes
****, to address your situation:
