You I filed unemployment on the first week of January and waited for payments each week. I filed each week successfully but no payment. I tried numerous times to get a hold of UI Montana by email, phone, and online portal. They don't email any more and won't take phone messages. They hang up when you call saying to call back in ten minutes. Anyhow, I was able to get ahold of job service and they said call the fraud line because the new system messed up someone else's claims too. After leaving a message a woman called back and told me that they had sent a verification letter out to me and it would expire tomorrow. I told her the only verification letter I received was in my husband's name. They sent him two. She insisted they sent one in my name but I checked my portal and the only letters I received were a determination letter and informational letter. Is this fraud on their end in my husband's name?
Hello ****, I understand your frustration. It doesn't necessarily mean it's fraud. It seems like there might be an administrative error in the department. You should keep all the correspondence and, if possible, try to get written confirmation of what they have told you over the phone.
I said it was probably on their end and she was very blatant that it wasn't.
