In North Carolina, landlords must provide a written notice to evict a tenant. The reasons can be:

We do not have a written lease or agreement with the property owner. the property owner's brother is the one that lived on the property for the last several years. the property owner does not look on the property. The property owner's brother moved me in a little over a year ago and I have been his caregiver while he's been on hospice care. He passed away about a month ago. After his funeral service his brother then come in and without any warning told us we have to go. At first he gave us a verbal af fiction and said that we hadn't till the 31st of December to move which we were OK with. A couple days later he said you only have 2 days to move. After those 2 days we are not moved yet but he still come and put padlocks on our gate on our doors on everything
