Utility Tree Trimming Rights

Summary

Utility companies in Indiana can trim or remove trees interfering with their equipment, even on private property, due to easements. If no easement exists and they are on public access, it may be an infringement. Consult a local property attorney, contact NIPSCO for easement details, and document any damages. Report harassment to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
