I am a member of a Church. We voted to place locks on our doors. For 158 years it was untouched by thieves. There is a lock box with a key inside. I have ask several people on the board to no avail. I ask to be able to go into my church yesterday to pray before i traveled. I was denied it without even a reason. My church is at the end of my driveway. Its hard to forget about it. I see my church out my windows. But cannot go inside to pray. Because the Church bully does not like me!!!!

Hello ****, this sounds like a distressing situation. In Mississippi, the church board has the right to regulate access to church property. However, if you feel unfairly treated, you may be able to file a complaint with your church's governing body or even consider legal action for discrimination.
Governing body has the code.
Hello ****, if the governing body is not addressing your concerns, you can consider:
- Seeking mediation through a neutral third party.
- If discrimination is suspected, you can file a complaint with the Mississippi Department of Human Rights.
- Consult a local attorney for further guidance.
Thank you
