My partner and I purchased a portfolio of properties in Milwaukee, WI last October. After closing we found out we were given fraudulent leases, fake leases, and a false statement that all payment were up to date. This was all signed on an affidavit. Due to that it has put us into major financial distress.

The rent rolls were not accurate. Rents were nearly half of what was stated. Units that were said to be occupied were vacant

I spent a few thousand dollars on a cease and desist but nothing was done

Sue him. The only problem is this that we have been put in such financial distress that we can't pay what we need to to hire the right lawyer
