Full Conversation
I have received some papers about some land my dad owned in Texas and a family member ask me to sign them because it was for a death certificate? From what I read it looks as if I sold this land to a trust to someone for like ten dollars? Not sure because I'm not quite sure how it reads
Hello **** ****! I understand that you have received some papers regarding land owned by your dad in Texas. It seems like you are unsure about the contents of the papers. Could you please clarify what specific assistance you are seeking from me?
To see if I own the land or not
Do you have any documents or records that show your ownership of the land?
No it was my father's and he has passed away
I'm sorry to hear about your father's passing. In order to determine your ownership of the land, we would need to review the legal documents related to the property. Do you have access to your father's will or any other estate planning documents?
All I have are these papers that was sent to me from my brothers notary I'm thinking my brother wants it all and he wants me to sign it?
It is important to understand the contents of the papers before signing anything. I recommend consulting with a local attorney in Texas who can review the documents and advise you on your rights and ownership of the land.
