If you are not related to the deceased owner and do not have a lease agreement, it may be challenging to assert your rights. Consider negotiating with the new owner or seeking legal advice from a local attorney specializing in tenant rights. Contacting a legal aid organization like the Northwest Justice Project may also be helpful.
