My wife died 18yrs ago and I w we nt to see about collecting her ss. or spouses survival and I never remarried they said I was only married to her on paper was 8 months, to me I was married to her for more than 8 months, we lived together for 3yrs before she and I married so I look at it as I have been married to her for 21yrs.

Yes bills with both our names on them and marriage certificate and death certificate with our names on them.

I did and they turned me down.
