Transportation Issue For Disabled Son
Full Conversation
My son is Mentally Disabled and lives in Greenwood County, south Carolina. His Health insurance Company, Humana offered him transportation Service to and from his medical appointments. Modive care is the transportation Service that provides the transportation for Humana. On The 3rd of March, Modive care left him Stranded at a Medical facility and he Doesn't know anyone in the City at all, No Friends or family for * miles! I reported this to both Entities and Neither one was able to Help, and did Nothing About but apologize! I know that more can be Done, what can we Do?
Has your son faced any physical or emotional harm due to this incident?
Yes he's Traumatized, he is Afraid to go to Any More Doctors Appointments, because he doesn't want to Experience that again, he said that he is TERRIFIED!
Has your son received any professional psychological evaluation following this incident? In South Carolina, emotional distress can be considered in personal injury cases.
NO
It might be beneficial for your son to get a professional psychological evaluation. This could potentially support a personal injury claim for emotional distress.
HHe won't go anywhere
Can you arrange for a professional to visit him at home for the psychological evaluation? This could be crucial for his personal injury claim.
I don't know where to start
You can start by contacting local mental health professionals or services in Greenwood County, South Carolina. They may offer home visits or telehealth options.
Ok, then what do I do after that
After the evaluation, you can consult with a personal injury lawyer. They can guide you on the next steps, possibly filing a lawsuit against the responsible parties.
Thank You
Have you documented the incident and the responses from Humana and Modive Care?

They even denied transporting him on the Date..it took almost a month before I realized that if I call the facility that he was at to get the date and time
Did you manage to get the exact date and time of the incident from the facility? This could be crucial evidence in your case.
Yes and the reservation number...they also told me that they scheduled the reservation under Medicaid instead of Humana, because i was so upset and told them that I was going to File Suit against Both Entities. ALSO Humana has altered their transportation Service to they offer unlimited rides up to * miles per trip..so i couldn't Understand why they scheduled it under his secondary insurance and charged them for the Trip
