Evicting Uncooperative Roommates

Summary

In Maryland, a tenant can evict roommates not on the lease by giving them a written notice to vacate, usually 30 days. If they refuse to leave after the notice period, an eviction lawsuit can be filed in the District Court of Maryland. In case of threatening behavior, a peace order or protective order can be filed. Its crucial to document any threats for evidence. If the lease doesnt explicitly prohibit subletting, it may be allowed. However, its best to get the landlords permission to avoid potential issues. Legal advice from a local attorney can guide through this process.
